Haley Bell was raised in Dallas, Texas. She holds a BFA in painting and Art History from the University of Oklahoma, followed by 13 years living in Los Angeles, London and Boston. Bell pursued a multifaceted career in the visual arts, screen production, advertising and film before focusing on painting full time.

Rooted in contemporary abstract traditions, her work explores the interplay of form, movement, and balance. She creates her paintings on custom-made wood panels, with the selection and preparation of the wood being integral to her artistic process.

Her approach involves a layered technique, where each level builds on the previous, achieving a sculptural quality. This method reflects complex, layered experiences and captures them with subtlety. By shaping color theory into a dialogue of palette and value, Haley delves into emotional resonance and conceptual depth.

Her compositions, with their layered and textured surfaces, invite viewers to engage with a space where physical and emotional landscapes converge. Haley’s art challenges conventional expectations, employing abstract forms and nuanced textures to evoke introspection and clarity. Her work offers a refined exploration of the tangible and the abstract.
